<h3>Hybrid event: bookings essential to attend in person</h3><p>This is a hybrid event with limited seating for in-person attendance at the FW Robinson Reading Room, the Fryer Library, UQ St Lucia.</p><p>The event will be livestreamed and recorded for those unable to attend in person.</p>

<h3>About UQ eSpace</h3><p>The UQ eSpace is UQ’s institutional research repository. The platform is designed and maintained in-house. This approach allows us to respond to user feedback, updated policies and institutional priorities. It also helps us provide high-quality customer service to UQ researchers using the system.</p><p>The work undertaken by the UQ eSpace team:</p><ul><li>enables integration with internal systems, which improves data quality, reduces duplication and helps streamline workflows</li><li>improves and tailors the UQ eSpace interface and services to the needs of UQ’s research community, strengthening research profiles and elevating UQ research outputs and their impact.</li></ul><p>In 2026, we’re <a href="https://web.library.uq.edu.au/stories/celebrating-20-years-uq-espace" title="https://web.library.uq.edu.au/stories/celebrating-20-years-uq-espace" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">celebrating 20 years of UQ eSpace</a>.</p>

<h3>About International Open Access Week</h3><p>This event is being held during <a href="https://www.openaccessweek.org/" title="https://www.openaccessweek.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">International Open Access Week</a>, a global initiative that highlights the importance of open access and the open sharing of knowledge to advance research, innovation, and the public good.</p><p>This year’s theme, ‘The Cost of Knowledge’, explores the value, ownership and accessibility of knowledge.</p>
