Townsville - Precious Wings Support Group for Bereaved Parents 6:30-8:30pm

Precious Wings warmly invites bereaved parents, grandparents and adult family members to join us for a special evening of connection, remembrance and support while our team is visiting Townsville.

This gathering is open to anyone who has experienced the death of a baby, child or young person, from any type of pregnancy loss through to 25 years of age, at any time and from any cause. Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, you are very welcome.

Our support groups offer a gentle and welcoming space to be with others who understand the unique experience of grieving a baby, child or young person. There is no expectation to talk or share your story. You are welcome to simply come along, meet others who understand, spend time together and connect in whatever way feels right for you.

Connect, remember and create something meaningful

During the evening, families will also have the opportunity to make a Precious Wings Memory Box in memory or honour of their baby, child or young person. The Memory Box you create will be gifted to another bereaved family in the Townsville region, offering them comfort and letting them know that they are not alone. It is a beautiful way to honour your child's life and legacy while reaching out to support another family experiencing loss. There is no expectation to take part in the Memory Box activity - you are welcome to participate as much or as little as feels comfortable.

A connection we hope continues

Although this is a special one-off gathering while Precious Wings is visiting Townsville, we hope the connections made on the evening will continue long after we leave. One of the most powerful things about bringing bereaved families together is simply meeting someone who understands. We hope this evening provides an opportunity for local families to find connection, friendship and support within their own community.

We look forward to welcoming you, remembering your precious children and young people, and creating a space where no bereaved family has to feel alone.
