This in-person event is all about relaxing vibes, healing sounds, and community spirit. Feel the soothing waves of sound wash over you as we raise funds to help children of Bhaktapur in Nepal. Whether you're a sound bath newbie or a seasoned listener, come hang out, unwind, and make a difference together!Join a collective of Peter Hess® practitioners from the South West for a special 90-minute Cosmic Sound Journey, created as part of Sounding September — a nationwide collaboration bringing practitioners together through sound to raise funds for children and communities in Nepal.Imagine lying back, completely supported, as layers of sound gently move around you…The resonance of singing bowls. The deep vibration of gongs. The gentle rhythm of rainsticks and tongue drums. Moments of sound… and moments of stillness.Together, we’ll weave a rich soundscape inspired by the vastness, mystery and stillness of the cosmos, using Peter Hess® Singing Bowls, gongs, rainsticks, tongue drums, and other sound instruments.You don’t need any previous experience with sound or meditation. There is nothing you need to achieve.Whether you’re completely new to sound journeys or already love the experience of sound, you’re warmly invited to come along, get comfortable and simply receive.The Peter Hess® Method takes a gentle, mindful and holistic approach to sound, with an emphasis on safety, presence, individual experience and the principle of less is more. A space to slow down, soften, rest and reconnect with yourself. Sounding September — Sound for a Bigger PurposeAcross Australia, Peter Hess® students and practitioners are coming together throughout September, with 15+ fundraising sound events taking place as part of Sounding September. Many practitioners. Many sounds. One shared intention.Together, we’re raising funds for the Boris Hess Foundation, supporting children in Bhaktapur and surrounding areas through education, after-school care and access to nutritious meals. Every little bit helps.Nepal holds a special place in the story of the Peter Hess® Method. In 1984, Peter Hess spent several months in Nepal, where his experiences with singing bowls became an important inspiration for the sound massage method he later developed.Today, it feels especially meaningful for the Peter Hess community to come together through sound and give something back.Sound inspired the beginning of this journey. Now sound is helping us give backMeet the Practitioners:Our collective of South West practitioners each brings their own experience, instruments and unique relationship with sound.Together, we’ll weave our individual sounds into one shared journey, creating an experience that is only possible through coming together.Over the coming weeks, we’ll introduce each practitioner in the event comments, sharing a little more about their individual journeys with sound and what they’ll be bringing to this special collaboration.
