Working with interviews, social media, news articles, or any other text corpus, but not with Python or R? LDaCA Wordflow is a free text analytics app built for exactly that, no code required: concordance, word frequency, trends, topic modelling, quotation extraction, and now GenAI-assisted annotation, all point-and-click, with your data visible at every step.This online workshop runs as two 90-minute Zoom sessions, and you are welcome to attend half or all of the workshop.<h2> Session 1 · Wordflow from zero, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm AEST (10:30 am ACST · 9:00 am AWST)</h2>A guided tour, no hands-on activities and nothing to install: just the concepts, the interface, and a worked-example research workflow built live, from raw election tweets to a small finding, across four analysis tools. This session will be recorded, so you can revisit it any time. If you attended our <a href="https://sih.tools/wordflow/#ws-intro-2026-06-03" title="https://sih.tools/wordflow/#ws-intro-2026-06-03" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">June workshop</a> in person, you may prefer to join for the afternoon session only.<h2> Session 2 · Hands-on: coding text with GenAI, 2:00pm – 3:30 pm AEST (1:30 pm ACST · 12:00 pm AWST)</h2>At your own keyboard, you'll use Wordflow's new Annotation tool the researcher-first way: you will code a sample and define the codebook; the AI must match your expectation (agreement scores, a confusion matrix, targeted revisions to your codebook and prompt) before it earns the corpus; then it annotates at scale. This session will not be recorded - this is deliberate, so it can run at the room's pace. To take part you'll need the free desktop app installed and a free AI-provider API key. A registration email a week beforehand will walk you through both (it will take about 10 minutes; zero cost).<h2> Who it's for</h2>HDR students to senior academics, in any field where text is data. No coding experience needed. That's the point. Built for Australian researchers, but free and open to everyone; international colleagues are warmly welcome (session times are AEST; the desktop app works anywhere).<h2> What you need</h2>Just the Zoom meeting for the morning, from any device. For the afternoon: a laptop or desktop and the two small setup steps above.
