Come and build a cubby house, read a book, and bring your teddy!

Orange City Library

Come along to Orange City Library as part of CBCA BOOK WEEK with a special evening of stories and music. Enjoy some books, build cubby houses with blankets and read by torchlight when we turn out the lights in the Library. Toys can have a sleepover in the Library and see what the books get up to after dark.Things to bring along with you:<ul><li>A teddy or soft toy that is brave enough to stay overnight (perhaps not your favourite one!)</li><li>a shoebox to make a bed for your toy</li><li>a big blanket to help build your cubby</li><li>a torch to read by</li></ul>Things you'll get to do:<ul><li>decorate your shoebox to make a special bed for your teddy</li><li>read stories in your cubby house</li><li>enjoy listening to some relaxing music</li><li>select some treats from the library tea trolley</li></ul> Stories, bed decorating supplies and treats will be supplied. This activity is designed for children of all ages.Children aged 6 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.Children between 7 and 12 years of age must be signed in and out if their parent/caregiver is not staying for the duration of the event. Important information<ul><li>Allergy or other relevant health information should be disclosed so that we can best support attendees.</li><li>Please let us know if you do not want your child to appear in any photographs - we will check this at the beginning of the event.</li><li>Inclusion and accessibility - if you would like to provide more details about your child's needs, or would like to ask about inclusive options, please get in touch directly via aalmond@orange.nsw.gov.au</li><li>Bathrooms - while participating in activities at Orange Library, children will need to use the public bathrooms. It's a good idea to take them to the bathroom before signing in.</li></ul>
