Author Talk with David Raymond - Hervey Bay

Event Description: A story of loyalty, courage and an unbreakable bond. Hear from retired Sergeant David Raymond as he shares the remarkable true tales behind Vader: A Police Dog Story, and the experiences that shaped a 36-year policing career. Filled with moments of danger, determination, humour and heart, this inspiring talk offers a rare glimpse into life alongside one of Queensland's four-legged heroes. Suitable for all ages.

About the Author:

Sergeant David Raymond commenced with the Queensland Police Service on 29 May 1989. He served his whole career in Far North Queensland including service as a General Duties Officer in Smithfield and Cairns Police Station. He is renowned for his exemplary leadership and operational capability in the most demanding of circumstances. During his operational career Sergeant Raymond has been the recipient of a number of awards including the Bravery Medal and Commendation for Brave Conduct.
