C&D Waste and Recycled Glass in Sealed and Unsealed Roads

Australia produces 8.7 Mt of demolition concrete and 1.0 Mt of waste glass each year—and most of it goes to landfill. But what if these waste streams could be turned into recycled materials that improve the performance of our roads? This event showcases a SmartCrete CRC project investigating the feasibility of using C&amp;D waste and recycled glass in sealed and unsealed roads. To discuss, chair <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/laurenhowe/" title="https://www.linkedin.com/in/laurenhowe/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lauren Howe</a> (Arup) will be joined by industry partner <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/april-hoyles-b566b1a8/" title="https://www.linkedin.com/in/april-hoyles-b566b1a8/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">April Hoyles</a> (Queensland Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation) and project researchers <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/sanjay-nimbalkar-2772702/" title="https://www.linkedin.com/in/sanjay-nimbalkar-2772702/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sanjay Nimbalkar</a> and <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/piyush-punetha-bb573386/" title="https://www.linkedin.com/in/piyush-punetha-bb573386/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Piyush Punetha</a> (UTS).
