Join the team from Croydon Camera House for a hands-on crash course in everything black and white film photography — perfect for beginners, curious creatives, and anyone wanting to slow down and enjoy photography in its purest form.
During this fun and interactive workshop you will:
- Have an introduction to the basics of shooting on 35mm black & white film
- Head out for a guided photo walk and shoot your own roll of film
- Head back to the shop and learn how to develop black & white film by hand
- Watch your images come to life in the developing process
- Ask questions and get hands-on help throughout the session
- After the workshop staff will scan and email you your digital images
What is included in this workshop?
- Each participant will be supplied with a roll of Ilford HP5 black & white film to shoot during the workshop.
- Bring your own 35mm film camera, or borrow one of ours for the duration of the class
- Developing of your film
- After the workshop staff will scan and email you your digital images (files will be received within 2-business days of the workshop.
Expect plenty of laughs, creative challenges, nostalgic vibes and maybe even a little film obsession by the end of the day 📷
