Single-Sheet Coptic Binding

In this workshop you will learn to bind single sheets in a book with the decorative yet robust Coptic stitch. This binding method is very valuable for anyone wanting to make their own artists books with single sheets of cardstock or found materials. All materials will be supplied for the making of a basic model. A list of basic tools to bring will be supplied on registration. Join us for a fascinating and enjoyable workshop.

About Artist:

Linda Roberts is a Canberra based book artist. Linda creates work that often pushes the boundaries of what is normally considered a book and uses unusual materials like driftwood, flattened tin cans, rocks and leaves. Linda is a long-time member of the Canberra Craft Bookbinders Guild and has taught frequently through the Guild.
