Crushing the myths - what do we know, and what are we guessing

The Science of a Female Lifter

Live Online Webinar

The Science of a Female Lifter is a live, online webinar designed for female lifters and coaches of female athletes who feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice on social media about health, training, and lifting performance.

If you’ve ever wondered “What actually matters?” or “What does the science really say?”—this webinar is for you.

In this session, you’ll learn:

  • What we know from research: from youth lifters to Masters athletes—and how to apply this knowledge in real-world training
  • Female-specific topics, including the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, pelvic floor health, and urinary incontinence
  • What we still don’t know: gaps in the research and what that means for coaches and athletes right now

The seminar is planned for 60 minutes, with additional time at the end for live Q&A, so you can get your questions answered.

Whether you’re lifting yourself or coaching women across different life stages, this webinar will help you cut through the noise and make evidence-informed decisions with confidence.

About the Speaker

Alex Macznik, PhD is a weightlifting coach (Level 2), researcher, and the founder of Evidence Strong, a platform dedicated to translating sports science into practical coaching insights for Olympic weightlifting and strength sports.

Alex has spent years working at the intersection of research and real-world training. Through Evidence Strong, she regularly interviews leading researchers, clinicians, and coaches from around the world.

Alex’s goal with this webinar is simple: to help lifters and coaches feel more confident navigating female-specific topics by clearly separating what we know, what we don’t yet know, and how to apply research sensibly in training.
