Introduction to Sexual Health
This session is for health workers wishing to acquire or update knowledge about sexual health. Information will be at an introductory level.
The Alfred Education and Resource Centre in conjunction with Melbourne Sexual Health Centre are pleased to offer this upcoming sexual health session.
Introduction to Sexual Health is an education session covering more than just sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and offering a broader, more holistic view of sexual health.
It will include information on common STIs, testing recommendations, non-infectious sexual health concerns, gender and sexuality, and cultural considerations, inclusive of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
An essential workshop for anyone who wants to gain a basic understanding of sexual health for their professional role.
Virtual attendance is available for this session, but it will not be recorded. Please indicate when booking if you would like to attend online or in-person at the Alfred.
We will also be running an Introduction to HIV session on Thursday 7th of May at 9.30am. For further details or to be added to our email list, contact the Education and Resource Centre - ERC@alfred.org.au
