Alongside her ephemeral exhibition, artist Katie McLorinan runs a mindful weaving workshop using natural materials to make your own artwork.
Join artist Katie McLorinan for a fun, creative morning of weaving with natural materials in this mindful creative workshop.
You will learn the basics of simple weaving and create your own unique woven wall hanging using:
• twine and plant fibres
• flowers and foliage
• leaves, sticks and branches
• found natural materials
You are also welcome to bring along any natural fibres, flowers etc that you might like to weave into your piece.
This workshop is designed to be creative, calming and accessible for beginners, with plenty of guidance and space to explore your own style.
What you will experience:
• a gentle introduction to basic weaving techniques
• creative time working with natural textures and forms
• a mindful and supportive group environment
• your own completed woven artwork to take home

Cost: $55
Weaving frames are provided for use during the workshop.
Simple instructions will also be shared so you can create your own weaving frame at home.

Katie McLorinan is a practising visual artist, art-for-wellbeing facilitator and trained tapestry weaver.
Her work gently blends creativity, nature and mindfulness to support emotional wellbeing and self-expression.
