Bird silhouettes with botanical materials at Berrinba Wetlands

SW1 – Berrinba WetlandsBrowns Plains, QLD
Saturday, Apr 18 from 10 am to 12 pm AEST
Overview

Creative workshop with artist Rachael Lee: paint a bird, make a pledge, and support Logan’s birdlife in an interactive gallery installation.

Step into a day of colour, creativity, and connection with nature at Berrinba Wetlands, guided by artist Rachael Lee, Artist in Residence for the bird community collaboration as part of the upcoming Where do I belong? exhibition.

Celebrate Logan’s birdlife through playful, expressive mark‑making using ink and botanical materials on watercolour paper. Throughout the workshop, Rachael will guide you in crafting unique bird silhouettes while encouraging reflection on how we can all support local bird habitats.

You will also discover simple, meaningful actions you can take to help birds thrive in your own backyard. Your finished bird artwork will become part of a collaborative, interactive installation displayed in the foyer of Logan Art Gallery for the Where do I belong? exhibition.

This project is supported by the Queensland Government through the Queensland Arts Showcase Program and the Regional Arts Development Fund, a partnership between the Queensland Government and Logan City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
