Bird Silhouettes - painting with patterned stencils

Living Museum of LoganKingston, QLD
Saturday, May 23 from 10 am to 12 pm AEST
Overview

Creative workshop with artist Rachael Lee: paint a bird, make a pledge, and support Logan’s birdlife in an interactive gallery installation.

Join artist Rachael Lee for a vibrant, hands-on day of creativity at the Living Museum of Logan. This playful mark‑making workshop invites you to adopt a bird and make a personal pledge to support the birdlife of Logan.

Guided by Rachael, you’ll decorate a bird-shaped silhouette using colourful acrylic paints and patterned stencils, all while learning simple, meaningful ways to help local birds thrive in your own backyard.

Your finished bird, and the pledge it represents, will become part of an interactive art installation displayed in the foyer of Logan Art Gallery for the upcoming Where do I belong? exhibition.

This project is supported by the Queensland Government through the Queensland Arts Showcase Program and the Regional Arts Development Fund, a partnership between the Queensland Government and Logan City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
