What's on

Pre-expo discovery session with Australian actress, Pia Miranda.

Show up early from 12 to 1 pm for a special Q&A discussion with Pia Miranda. She’ll talk about her experience supporting local communities through volunteering.

Pia Miranda is a celebrated Australian actress whose career has spanned film, television and reality TV and is best known for her roles in Looking for Alibrandi and Neighbours, while also winning Australian Survivor in 2019.

Community and volunteering have been a constant throughout Pia Miranda’s life. First introduced to the importance of community during her school years through volunteering in aged care, she continued giving back through university and into adulthood. As a parent, Pia embraces a practical, community-focused approach supporting school communities, helping other families, contributing to fetes and events, and regularly visiting aged-care facilities, often with her dog. She is also actively involved in fundraising for causes close to her heart, including the Australian Cancer Research Foundation, Dolly’s Dream, and breast and ovarian cancer initiatives, with a strong commitment to regional and rural communities. As a Dolly’s Dream ambassador, Pia lends her voice to bullying prevention and youth wellbeing, while continuing to value quieter, hands-on volunteering that makes a meaningful difference.
