Workshop – All about the new Food Waste Service

Curious about how the new Food Waste Service will work or why food waste is even such a big deal?

Join one of our free workshops and learn all about the new service, including key dates for your diary, and simple, practical ways to manage food waste at home.

There will be an open Q&A session to answer all of your questions, and support for those who want to become Food Waste Champions in their local community.

Catering will be provided, as will prizes for the best food puns. Catering will automatically include gluten-free and vegetarian options.

Morning Session: 10am - 11.30am

Evening Session: 6pm - 7.30pm

Where: Lane Cove Civic Centre, 48 Longueville Rd, Lane Cove

KEY DATES FOR THE FOOD WASTE SERVICE

February 2026 - Food waste bins, kitchen caddies, caddy liners and a How-to Guide delivered to stand-alone houses ONLY.

March 2026 - The Food Waste Service starts collection for stand-alone houses ONLY.

February 2027 onwards - Units, apartments and townhouses can start joining the Food Waste Service for collection.
