SATURNALIA

To bind the body is to free the mind, and to gag the mouth allows the body to speak...Drawing upon elements of kink and tantric practice with the rigour of shibari dojo training as a base, the themes of Von Riga’s kinbaku are passion, provocation, poetry. Being present to each moment, intuitive in one’s choice of what to tie, and deeply connected to one’s tying partner is key. Thereafter, simply to tie, tie, tie, allow these themes to find fullest expression.Von Riga can be found curating and performing at Melbourne’s premier rope events as well as teaching weekly at Soul Rope Studio.
