Join live poetry readings in the galleries by Evelyn Araluen and Jonathan Dunk, celebrated poets and co-editors of the literary journal Overland.Evelyn and Jonathan will present a selection of poems that correspond with themes including relationship to Country, settler colonialism, and notions of decay and haunting. Evelyn Araluen is a poet, educator and researcher, and co-editor of Overland. Her work has won the Nakata Brophy Prize for Young Indigenous Writers, the Overland Judith Wright Poetry Prize, and a Wheeler Centre Next Chapter Fellowship. Her debut poetry collection Dropbear was published by UQP in 2021. Born, raised, and writing in Dharug country, she is a descendant of the Bundjalung nation.Jonathan Dunk is the co-editor of Overland and a widely published writer.
