Helen Mayo Park - part of the world-unique, National Heritage-listed Adelaide Park Lands - is threatened by the Premier&#x27;s proposed $660 million stadium - what he calls the &quot;Riverbank Arena&quot;.This little-known park just west of the Montefiore Rd bridge is a looming battleground , with two radically different visions for Adelaide&#x27;s future. Will we be the City with a world-unique garland of Park Lands? Or will we continue to attack &quot;Green Adelaide&quot; with more huge buildings?<ul><li>Live music from the &quot;Seratonins&quot; </li><li>Catering from &quot;Coffee and Crepes&quot; </li><li>Speakers from the State Government, the State Opposition, the Greens and the City Council have been invited to outline to you their vision for this Open Green Public site. The Premier has turned down our invitation and his office has &quot;been unable to secure a representative to attend on the Premier’s behalf.&quot;</li></ul>Come and relax in a beautiful Park Lands setting on the Torrens Riverbank while you still can - before the Marshall Liberal Government buries the Park under tonnes of concrete.Come and see the River Red Gum trees, the Moreton Bay fig trees, the Aleppo Pines, the Blue Gum trees and others that will be bulldozed if the Premier has his way.Listen to ideas from some of the speakers about how we the people can combat this proposed Park destruction,Enjoy the music.
