PLD provides an Australian, evidence-based approach to Structured Synthetic Phonics (SSP) for primary school educators. <p><br></p><h3><strong><strong>Two-Day Seminar What to Expect</strong></strong></h3><p>Learn to implement PLD’s evidence-based Structured Synthetic Phonics (SSP) programs in Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 gaining the knowledge, tools and processes to implement explicit, systematic instruction that builds strong early literacy foundations across the junior primary.</p><p>This two-day seminar is delivered as two full-day sessions one week apart during the school term. This format supports guided SSP implementation using PLD, followed by coaching and planning workshops. The spacing creates a practical implementation window: between sessions participants have the opportunity to apply PLD assessments and/or routines in their own classroom, refine practice, analyse classroom data, and build a personalised, term-ready plan using a three-tiered teaching model. On the second day, participants return for coaching-style feedback, support, and next-steps planning, ensuring the seminar translates into practical, in-class implementation.</p><p><br></p>

<h3><strong><strong>Tracking Sheet Data</strong></strong></h3><p><strong><strong>Recommended</strong></strong>: This seminar includes a short workshop segment for planning with your own data. If you (or your school) is currently implementing PLD, please bring recent class data (screening/placement results and access to PLD Tracking Sheets) so we can maximise the coaching time available in the session and ensure you leave with a classroom-ready plan for the upcoming term.<br></p><p><br></p>

<h3><strong><strong>Terms and Conditions</strong></strong></h3><p>A working webcam must be switched on for the full seminar to verify attendance; without this, certificates cannot be issued. If you cannot use a webcam, please consider enrolling in an Online Course instead. Schools in remote areas with limited internet may request an exemption by emailing training@pld-literacy.org.</p><p><br></p>

<h3><strong><strong>Cancellation</strong></strong></h3><p>Should the seminar need to be cancelled for any reason, PLD will provide a full refund, or allow those registered to transfer to an alternative date of their choosing.</p><p><br></p>

<h3><strong><strong>Refund Policy</strong></strong></h3><p>PLD maintains a 'no refund' policy, with the sole exception being the cancellation of a seminar by PLD. In all other cases of cancellation, individuals are encouraged to re-register for an alternative seminar. For cancellations made within less than 48 business hours, PLD will apply an administration fee of $25.00 and transfer the remaining balance to another seminar.</p><p><br></p>
