I specialise in making the historic interior, art and decor fun and an educational experience. I ama Visiting Research Fellow in Art History at the University of Adelaide and I have published widely on the domestic interior in representation from the eighteenth century to the modern period. My recent books include:Domestic Interiors: Representing Home from the Victorians to the Moderns, (2013), which won theArt Association of Australia and NZBest Anthology Prize in 2014; andDesigning the French Interior: The Modern Home and Mass Media(edited with Anca Lasc and Mark Taylor 2015) both published by Bloomsbury.

<p>Learn about how the architecture facilitated the 'cure' in the years before antibiotics, and how South Australia led the fight against the 'White Death', or consumption, the main global killer disease of the 19th century, and now sadly back.  This educative and entertaining tour will take in the main building and grounds and we will explore what daily life here for patients was like under the care of Medical Superintendent Dr Arthur Gault.  The site provides beautiful views over the city, and stands as a precious symbol of the State's pioneering and innovative spirit.</p>
