Paws-Fest Activities 2021

First held in 2019, Paws-Fest is Brisbane’s first 100% non-profit dog market event held in support of RSPCA Queensland. This means that 100% of profits from the event are donated directly to support animals in need, helping the RSPCA maintain their shelters, provide essential care for both pets and wildlife in need and keep their team of inspectors on the road, fighting animal cruelty one day at a time. We hope to raise as much money as possible for our furry friends in the care of RSPCA QLD, so come along and have a great day out knowing that you’ll be supporting a worthy cause.Hosted by Paws & Relax Doggy Daycare, Training & Grooming, Paws-Fest will take place within and around the centre located at 2/24 Eagleview Place, Eagle Farm. We have invited over 50 stallholders and food trucks to attend: we love supporting our local, small business. You’ll find a great variety of dog food and treats, dog toys and accessories and other dog service providers, as well as food trucks (for humans), entertainment for the kids, competitions, raffles, and some informative presentations by local industry professionals!

8 dogs per session<p></p><p>Does your dog LOVE to sniff? Looking for something fun to do with your dog? Inspired by detection dog training, this Hide ’n’ Seek Nosework Taster session introduces you and your dog to the exciting world of Nosework. Suitable for dogs of all sizes, ages and abilities. No prior training or experience is required from you or your dog. All that’s needed is a dog with a nose!</p><p>*This is a taster class, so while search time will be limited for each pup, you're in for a sniffalicious treat!</p><h3></h3><h3><strong>Session A: </strong>10:15am - 11am</h3><h3><strong>Session B: </strong>1pm - 1:45pm</h3><p></p><p><strong><em>NOSEWORK REQUIREMENTS: </em></strong></p><p>Owners must bring a bag of small (little pieces) high-value training treats.</p>

<p>Pawsitive Connection offer a wide variety of services, from personal behavioural training through to dog sports and nutrition. We are excited to offer Paws-Fest attendees a taste of Pawsitive Connections' dog sports offerings:</p><h3></h3><h3><em>INTRODUCTORY AGILITY TASTER CLASS</em></h3><p>Agility is a great way to build your dog's focus and confidence: learn some introductory skills and get a taste for the fun! Introduce your dog to weaves, hurdles and tunnels, and learn how to use the equipment in dog parks safely and confidently. No experience required, any dog breed of any size can participate and see what Agility classes have to offer.</p><h3><strong>AGILITY Session A</strong>: 10:30am - 11am</h3><h3><strong>AGILITY Session B</strong>: 1:30pm - 2pm</h3><p></p><blockquote>AGILITY REQUIREMENTS: </blockquote><ul><li>Dogs aged between 18 months - 10 years, dogs must be able to focus on handler in presence of other dogs, BYO leash and training treats.</li></ul><h3></h3><h3><em>INTRODUCTORY PARKOUR TASTER CLASS</em></h3><p>Parkour is a great way to spice up your walks, build focus, enhance your bond and dogs confidence we will teach safety and 5 of the core skills that will get you started on your way to enjoying parkour everywhere. No experience required, any dog breed of any size can participate and see wha Parkour classes have to offer.</p><h3><strong>PARKOUR Session A</strong>: 9:30am - 10am</h3><h3><strong>PARKOUR Session B</strong>: 12:30pm - 1pm</h3><p></p><blockquote>PARKOUR REQUIREMENTS: </blockquote><ul><li>Dogs aged min. 6 months, dogs must be able to focus on handler in presence of other dogs, BYO harness, leash and training treats.</li></ul>
