The Get Ready, Plan Ahead project for people with disability is coming to the Southport Community Centre on the Gold Coast.Come to an interactive workshop where you can start your own emergency plan tailored to your disability support needs.<ol><li>Learn about the four steps to help you get prepared for an emergency or disaster.</li><li>Learn about disaster risks in the Central Gold Coast area, and where to go for information</li><li>Start your own emergency plan using the Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness workbook (P-CEP)</li></ol>The P-CEP is a practical conversation guide and planning tool used by people with disability to tailor emergency preparedness to their individual support needs.QDN will be holding two workshops at the Southport Community Centre for people with disability and their conversation partner (family, friends, or support workers) to help them start working on their emergency and disaster plan.QDN is looking for people with disability who are interested in being part of both workshops at Southport Community Centre in October and November 2021.If this is something you or someone you know would like to be involved in, please contact Lisa Hateley at 1300 363 783 or via lhateley@qdn.org.auMore information about the Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness workbook here:https://collaborating4inclusion.org/pcep/
