Free Firewood For Hepburn Shire Council residents at Council's Transfer Stations

Trentham Transfer Station

Council is making firewood available to community members as part of our storm recovery clean-up. We are trialling this process to find the most efficient and safe way to share the wood with our community. There is plenty of firewood available for everyone. We will soon release more timeslots for people to collect free firewood. Please note:- Free Firewood (maximum 2m3) is being offered at our transfer stations to residents within the Hepburn Shire. - Please select only one pick up time per household - Bring along your proof of residence to have your trailer loaded with up to 2m3 of firewood recovered from our storm affected roads. This wood will be ready to burn next season. -	The firewood is green, so it will need to season (dry out) for at least 12 months.-	We will have plenty of wood available, with regular supplies set to increase from September. -	The transfer station will be closed outside of normal operating hours.-	Residents and ratepayers must not collect firewood from the transfer station on their own. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL No waste will be accepted by transfer station staff on wood collection days.
