Overview

Guided Spring walk in Kulnura along bush tracks of waratahs and gymea lilies. Join us for indigenous and settler history + botanising.

The waratahs are blooming in clusters! Join us on this easy half day meander amongst the bounty of our spring flowers. Enjoy immersion in yellows, purples, and the most magnificent of all - the reds - from the largest lily in the world to the reds of the pea flowers. We start with morning tea in McPherson State Forest and then car convey to the start of our adventure.

Hear about the lesser known histories of Kulnura and the fight to save access route into the forest. We'll be botanising on the way, listening out for the thump of the swamp wallaby bounding through the undergrowth and the call of native bush birds including the shy lyre bird.

Heritage Venture's guide Dr Bernadette Flynn will share her knowledge and passion for the landscape and waterways around Upper Mangrove Creek and local sandstone country. On Step out with us on these beautiful bush tracks to experience the splendor of the local flora and fauna.
