Overview

How do you research people’s understandings and experiences related to novel technologies such as AI and automated decision-making tools that are fuzzily defined even in expert discourses and remain mysterious to a lot of lay people?

This workshop is designed as an information exchange and training event, with invited presenters speaking about their current research methods. It will bring together ARC CoE in ADM+S investigators and partners as well as other interested people or agencies interested in how to go about researching the ways in which ADM, AI and related technologies are part of ‘actually existing’ digital health initiatives or proposed for future use. This includes not only in healthcare settings but across the wide array of domains in which digital technologies are used for health or medical purposes, including the home, schools, workplaces, aged care and leisure and sporting facilities.
