With Covid-19 acting as a catalyst for digitalization, firms, both traditional financial services players as well as leading retailers and technology companies alike, are competing to provide the lowest-cost remittances, highest-speed transitions, and most user-friendly interfaces. On the other side of the coin, ever more consumers readily embrace digital wallet services and mobile payments that support their lifestyle. With the seemingly endless arrays of possibilities, from interoperable QR payments to central bank-backed digital currencies, on the horizon, Singapore is well on its way to accomplish the Smart Nation Vision and maintain its position as the financial heart of Asia.We’ve assembled a panel of digital payments experts to discuss the current and future payments landscape of our little red dot.
