Question 1

Can I bring younger or older siblings?

Accepted Answer

This child-only event is for kids aged 8-12 years and will not suit younger children. Older teens should book for the Cadet Ranger program. However, parents are free to bring siblings to David Fleay Wildlife Park and relax in the cafe or grounds while this child-only 8–12 event is on.

Question 2

Does a parent/guardian have to be there the whole time?

Accepted Answer

A parent/guardian must sign in/out all kids under 16 years of age, and all participants must provide emergency contact details prior to the event. Only kids participate in the 1.5-hr event, so parents can choose to relax at the cafe/ grounds or return later. Parents must pick up children on time.

Who should I contact if I need advice before or on the day.

Before the day, please email admin@npaq.org.au with any queries you may have. On the day, please contact our Operations Manager, on  0482 962 550.

Question 4

What happens if the dates/time change.

Accepted Answer

NPAQ reserves the right to change dates/times in the event of weather conditions or other factors (often outside of our control). Should dates/times change, we will attempt to contact all booked attendees via email or phone details at the earliest opportunity to alert you to the change.

Question 5

What does my child need to bring?

Accepted Answer

All children must wear sun safe clothing, a hat and covered shoes suitable for bushwalking. They should carry a water bottle with them and bring a snack if required (a small backpack is sensible).  The event will proceed in wet weather, so please bring a rain  jacket if needed.
