Sweet Silent Thoughts Exhibition Opening

Art from the Margins, a creative intiative of Wesley Mission Queensland, supports, exhibits and promotes the work of artists living with adversity, mental health issues, physical or intellectual disabilities, or experiencing homelessness and social isolation.Through community partnerships and utilising the arts within a supportive environment, AFTM creates opportunities through social engagement, workshops, exhibitions and formal education, for the enrichment and social inclusion of people experiencing disadvantage.

Art from the Margins is proud to announce our 2021 Emerging Artists exhibition, Sweet Silent Thoughts. Join us this Saturday 22 May 2pm - 4pm for an Opening Event to celebrate and experience our latest collaboration. Featuring the 2020 AFTM Queensland Outsider Art Awards Emerging Award recipients; Anna Jacobson, Liam Boswell, Sophie Callum, Rebecca King and Shirley Gibson, curated by John Waldron.We cannot wait to share with you the artwork of these talented artists!Admission is FREE (RSVP essential).📅: 22 May 2021⏰: Saturday, 2pm - 4pm⁠📍: AFTM Gallery &amp; Studios, 136 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley⁠
