<h2>Want to learn how to propagate and grow native plants? Join us for this unique 3-day course.</h2><h3>You&#x27;re invited by CottonInfo and Wee Waa Local Aboriginal Lands Council to take part in a unique 3-day Florabank workshop to learn about planting natives.</h3><p>Steve Field from Fields Environmental Solutions and David Carr from Stringybark Ecological will deliver the course over two days in May 2021 and one day in Spring 2021.</p><h3>You will learn to:</h3><ul><li>Collect &amp; clean native seeds</li><li>Build a shade-house &amp; irrigation system</li><li>Plant natives using different tools &amp; techniques</li><li>Grow native plants from seeds &amp; cuttings for food &amp; medicine.</li></ul><p><strong>------</strong></p><h3><strong>DAY 1 - 25 May 2021: 9 am to 2 pm</strong></h3><p>Field visit (bus provided) to a planting project to learn about site preparation, handling seedlings, planting tools and methods, guarding and watering. Plus essential seed collection, tool use and safety.</p><h3><strong>DAY 2 - 26 May 2021: 9 am to 2 pm</strong></h3><p>Nursery construction, covering  drainage, marking out, shade house  construction, watering system, and benches. Plus basic propagation, using containers, handling potting mix, and seed sowing.</p><h3><strong>DAY 3 - Spring 2021: (Date &amp; time TBC)</strong></h3><p>Plant identification, propagation (seeds and cuttings), and nursery and irrigation maintenance.</p><p>------</p><h3>Free event. We will provide gloves, sunscreen, extra water, and tools.
