Sam (Colin Firth) and Tusker (Stanley Tucci) have been together for 20 years; the former a British concert pianist, the latter an American novelist. Tusker’s latest novel isn’t going so well but unfortunately writer’s block would be the least of his problems; he has been diagnosed with early-onset dementia. Realising that their time together is the most important thing they have, the two men decide to take a road trip through England in an old campervan to reconnect with friends and family, and visit the places of their past. As the journey progresses, their individual ideas for their future begin to collide.
