Primary school teacher Antoinette (Laure Calamy) has been eagerly looking forward to a long-planned weekend escape with her secret lover, Vladimir (Benjamin Lavernhe), who happens to be the father of one of her pupils. Their plans are upended, however, when Vladimir’s wife surprises him with surprise hiking trip in the picturesque Cévennes mountains in the South of France.Undeterred by the fact that she is completely unversed in the ways of the wilderness, the spurned Antoinette impulsively decides to follow them.
