Review of the NQF: Workshop to produce responses (20 Apr 2021)

One of three ACA NSW workshops to help ECEC services prepare their feedback/response(s) to the Review of the NQF by 30 April 2021.

The <a href="https://www.nqfreview.com.au/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">2019 </a><a href="https://www.nqfreview.com.au/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Review of the National Quality Framework (NQF)</a> has generated a Consultation Regulatory Impact Statement (<a href="https://www.nqfreview.com.au/cris" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CRIS</a>) that discusses 21 issues across:<ul><li>safety, health, and wellbeing;</li><li>family daycare;</li><li>outside school hours care;</li><li>workforce;</li><li>understanding of quality ratings by families;</li><li>changes in fees within the NQF system;</li><li>oversight and governance of services and providers; and</li><li>proposed changes to the NQF arising from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.</li></ul>Early childhood education and care (ECEC) services have been asked to respond to ACECQA by 30 April 2021 via <a href="https://www.nqfreview.com.au/take-survey-now" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">survey</a> or <a href="https://www.nqfreview.com.au/written-submissions" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">written submission</a>.It is vitally important that services respond so that the regulatory framework and therefore operational requirements can improve.Equally, ACECQA and the Regulatory Authorities must hear from ECEC services that unnecessary additional regulatory and operational burdens must be avoided wherever possible. Instead, such existing and proposed new burdens could and can be addressed in alternative ways that can achieve the same aspirations or outcomes.What to expect at the ACA NSW Workshop:These workshops will assist services:<ul><li>with understanding the Review&#x27;s proposals in detail (including their anticipated financial and non-financial consequences);</li><li>by discussing plausible and alternative options (if any); and</li><li>through providing template text for services to copy-paste/amend as their possible responses.</li></ul>Who will be presenting:<ul><li>Chiang Lim, CEO, Australian Childcare Alliance NSW</li></ul>Dates/Times:<ul><li>Monday, 19 April 2021, from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon</li><li>Tuesday, 20 April 2021, from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm</li><li>Thursday, 22 April 2021, from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm</li></ul>Ticket Prices:<ul><li>ACA NSW Members: $10 inc GST (refunded upon attendance, less fees)</li><li>Non-Members: $25 incl GST</li></ul>
