Young FBI agent Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) is enlisted to help find a missing woman who has been abducted by an elusive serial killer nicknamed ‘Buffalo Bill’ (Ted Levine). With the clock ticking, and in an attempt to gain a better insight into the twisted mind of the killer, Starling is sent to interview another psychopath – Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) – who is serving life behind bars for various acts of murder and cannibalism.

Starling soon discovers that she must first earn the manipulative former psychiatrist's confidence, forcing her to confront her own demons and match wits with one of the most brilliant – and darkest – of minds.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, director Jonathan Demme’s psychological horror film based on the novel by Thomas Harris was a sleeper hit upon release in 1991, and has since spawned a sequel, two prequels, and two television series. It also became only the third film in history to win Oscars in all of the top five categories, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential films in cinematic history.
