Don&#x27;t miss this opportunity to hear renowned artist Wendy Sharpe talk at the Petrie Terrace Gallery as part of our fundraising exhibition Light &amp; Dark. This exhibition calls on artists to depict the concept of light and dark in general. Light and dark also often reflect the realms of mental health which can be explored in your artwork.This artist talk is a fundraising event, with 50% of cover charge for the events and proceeds from the auction to be donated to 42 for 42.42 for 42 is a not-for-profit organisation which was founded by ex-Army veterans whose aim is to help struggling veterans and their families by building a memorial dedicated to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. The 42 stands for the 41 veterans who were killed in Afghanistan, with the 42nd representing the veterans we have lost and continue to lose to suicide, and those who have returned with injuries and mental illness.The Royal Queensland Art Society is proudly sponsored by Brisbane City Council
