The Greek Festival of Sydney is one of Australia’s largest and longest-running annual cultural events. The Greek Festival of Sydney was established in 1980  to maintain the Greek community's cultural and artistic practices. The Festival’s portfolio boasts a plethora of artistic and cultural events including a two-day outdoor festival, film festival, theatrical performances, exhibitions, concerts, lectures, folkloric activities, music and cross cultural activities.

Join Sydney historian Vasilis Vasilas for the book launch of Little Athens. Little Athens is a project which is an extension of Vasilis’ recent book, Beyond the Shop Windows and Counters, which focuses on a wide range of Greek businesses in both the retail and industrial sectors of Marrickville. Little Athens focuses on the personal narratives and photographs of Marrickville’s shops and businesses, looking at their longevity and success, as well as their contribution to local, national and international markets.Presented as part of the 39th Greek Festival of Sydney and Inner West Council&#x27;s Heritage Festival.
