Producing high-quality sound or performance artwork for online distribution requires competency in relevant methodologies and digital frameworks.This workshop will provide the what and how of embedding sound work into the online realm, as well as showcasing the techniques and technologies that artist Amelia McLeish uses to digitally communicate her practice. Amelia utilises sound, noise and spectatorship in her work to force the viewer to question space and enter heightened states of awareness. Amelia McLeish is a contemporary visual and sound artist practicing primarily in Meanjin (Brisbane). Her practice utilises participation, sound and humour to critique the arts institutions and develop artist-based communities. She has exhibited at IMA Belltower, Boxcopy and The Walls, and completed a studio residency with OuterSpace ARI. Amelia is the co-director of Nextdoor ARI and an organiser of Wreckers Artspace, in addition to currently completing a Master of Philosophy at QUT. This project is made possible by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
