Western Bulldogs Community Foundation is proud to announce Sons of the West is back for 2021

The Sons of the West men's health program is back again in 2021!Haven't been part of the SOTW before? This is what you can expect:The Sons of the West is a FREE 10-week men's health program.  It is run by the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation in partnership with local councils and community health services across western Victoria. The program is free thanks to support from major partner WorkSafe Victoria, Department of Health and Human Services, Australian Multicultural Community Services and Watergardens Town Centre. In 2021, the program will be run in person in 12 locations across Victoria's west AND an online option for those that prefer Zoom. What can you expect from the online option? Each week the online program runs for 90 minutes on Zoom.  In the first 45 minutes, you will have the chance to hear from guest presenters about different men's health topics. In the second 45 minutes, we have time for a good old fashioned chat. Each week you'll be given opportunities to try new activities. There are loads of giveaways including customised Sons of the West incentives and the chance to win signed merchandise from the Western Bulldogs Football Club.Catch up with other men in your community, get healthy and pick up some free stuff while you’re doing it.  It doesn’t get much better than this! Please note, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, extra precautions including reduced venue capacity (smaller group sizes), extra hygiene practices and an online program option for those that prefer will be in place to keep everyone safe. Please note, if you register for this online option, due to the smaller group sizes and venue patron limits, attendance at face to face sessions may not be possible. <h2>Frequently Asked Questions: </h2>When does it start and what time is it? The online program runs on Monday evenings 7pm-8.30pm on Zoom. You will receive a link to click on to join the online program on Zoom once you've registered here on Eventbrite.Is there a minimum age requirement to come to the Sons of the West?Due to the content we cover in the education sessions, the Sons of the West program is for all men aged 18 and over. What if I miss a week? That's ok, you will have access to recordings of the health information sessions throughout the program. We also encourage you to organise catch ups with your fellow SOTW participants outside of the session times. Please note, to be eligible to graduate and complete the SOTW program you need to attend 7 out of the 10 sessions.  Can I sign up for a friend or family member?Yes, you can sign up on behalf of another person.  Just remember, there are limited spaces for the Sons of the West program in 2021.  Please only register for someone else if they are going to attend.  What do I need to do after I have booked a spot for the Sons of the West Program?You just need to log in on the first night - don't worry we will send you an email and text to remind you!In week one you will have a chance to meet the program staff, meet other participants and ask any questions you may have so you're ready to go for the rest of the program.   What if I need to cancel my ticket?
