Best of Brisbane Tour

The Best of Brisbane Tour is a great way for you to discover Brisbane's hidden gems such as Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and Mt Coot-Tha. Get to know the city you will be living in and make new friends along the way! These tours will be open to all students (recommended for students new to Brisbane).

Enjoy the best view of Brisbane from Mt Coot-Tha and don't miss out on this special opportunity to hold the Koalas or get the cutest selfies with Kangaroos at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary! Check out a variety of program available at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary here.

Important Event Information:

Meeting point: Welcome Hub, Great Court, St Lucia campus

Registration: Ticket sales close

• 5pm, Friday 19 February for Monday 22 February tour
• 5pm, Sunday 21 February for Wednesday 24 February tour

Tickets: $20 + eventbrite fee (No refunds are available - ticket swaps/transfers may be available after purchase)

To bring: Please bring sunscreen, hat, comfortable shoes and BYO lunch (alternatively, lunch is available to purchase at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary)

Tour Schedule

• 8.15am: Meet at Welcome Hub, Great Court
• 8.40am Travel to Mt Coot-Tha
• 9.10-9.30am: Experience Brisbane Skyline at Mt Coot-Tha
• 9.40am: Leave for Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
• 10am-1pm: Explore Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary
• 1-1.30pm: Head back to UQ and tour concludes

*Ticket price includes transport from UQ as well as entry to Lone Pine Sanctuary. This ticket price does not include the professional photo session offered by Lone Pine. Those sessions can be purchased at Lone Pine from the Main Koala Exhibit for a further $25 if available.
