We encourage you to use public transport -  parking in city can be limited.  
Train: The nearest train stations are Martin Place and St James. The nearest Sydney Metro station is Martin Place.  
Buses run in Macquarie, Elizabeth & Castlereagh Streets.

Is there wheelchair or accessible access to NSW Parliament House?

There will be photography and filming on site at this event for promotional and archival purposes. By entering the event premises, you consent to such recording media and its release, publication, exhibition or reproduction. Please inform the photographer if you don't wish your photo to be taken.

Can my child bring their scooter? Can I bring a trolley/wagon?

For everyone’s safety, and to protect our heritage building, no scooters, wheeled shoes or beach trolleys/wagons may be used inside NSW Parliament House.

Where can I eat? Can I bring my own food?

Accepted Answer

Food and drink will be available for purchase at our cafe on Level 7 or you can eat and relax in The Speakers’ Garden (outdoor area, entry is near the Legislative Assembly). Food and drink cannot be brought into the Chambers or the Theatrette. The Domain is nearby if you'd like to eat outside.

Do I need to book into any activities before or on the day?

Accepted Answer

No, all activities will be 'walk up'. Please note, some popular activities may have a short queue and some rooms may have a limited capacity. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Question 7

Can I bring my pram and park it inside NSW Parliament House?

Accepted Answer

You can bring your pram, but it may be difficult to manoeuvre due to the amount of people. You can park it in the Learning Centre on Level 6. NSW Parliament is not responsible for prams or items left in them. Please do not leave your prams in places that block or restrict other people's passage.

Is there security screening at NSW Parliament House?

Is there a parents’ room or a lift and change room?

What accessible wayfinding support is available?

Accepted Answer

NSW Parliament House now offers BindiMaps, an accessible wayfinding app providing audio, map and text directions to public areas like the Long Bell Café, toilets and Strangers’ Restaurant. Download the free BindiMaps app to access the routes.

Can I store my bag while at NSW Parliament House?

Accepted Answer

There is no cloaking/storage facility at NSW Parliament House. We recommend only bringing with you what you'll need on the day.
