Commoners Press will run three public participation printing workshops on the theme of healing, replenishing, and enabling life.

Image credit: Neal Haslem, 2024.For Melbourne Design Week 2025 Commoners Press will run three public print workshops on the theme of healing, replenishing, and enabling life. Each workshop will engage participants in setting their own artwork in response to the theme.There will be three locations: Castlemaine, Victoria Gardens and Coburg North.At each of the three workshops participants will use different materials: <ul><li>metal type for workshop 1 (in Castlemaine) </li><li>graphic wooden blocks for workshop 2 (at Victoria Gardens)</li><li>printable lego elements for workshop 3 (in Coburg North @ Commoners Press HQ)</li></ul>Each workshop can include up to 14 participants and will result in a short printrun of an octavo (16pp) format chapbook.The chapbooks will be printed and bound during the workshops for participants to take home. 3 locations, 3 books, 3 sets of printing materials, 16 pages each, 42 individual responses to the Melbourne Design Week theme.
