Alan has 32 years’ experience in the aviation, aerospace, defence, and training industries. In 1989 Alan joined the United Kingdom Royal Air Force as an Aerospace Systems Operator and retired as an executive manager specialising in human resource and training systems management after a successful and highly rewarding career in 2014. 
Migration to Australia has seen Alan successfully project manage $20M+ contracts on behalf of international clients and foreign Governments, managing contract preparation, quotation and negotiation, stakeholder engagement, product development, service integration strategies, implementation, evaluation and quality systems development. Passionate about through-life learning and Lead Auditor qualified, Alan has a service quality and compliance focus. 
Alan collaborates with industry Regulators and Partners to development and maximise client capability, capacity and opportunity, adding value, flexibility and success.

All SIRF events are designed to provide a safe environment for open discussion with peers on the topic of interest they are working on, in and around. Masterclass Events are one of SIRF's signature formats, and you must come prepared to learn! Speakers for Masterclass Events all have a deep understanding of their topic, and will engage the audience at a medium to high level with their content. Masterclasses typically start with a detailed presentation by the speaker followed by time for roundtable discussion on the topic to promote peer-to-peer learning and networking.
