Kylie Ball is a Professor and the Founder of <a href="http://www.indagoacademy.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Indago Academy</a>, a coaching consultancy that has supported hundreds of researchers across Australia. In the 22 years since completing her PhD in psychology, Kylie has enjoyed some wonderful professional milestones, including leading successful multi-million dollar research projects; serving as elected President of the foremost international society in her discipline; and recognition as a Highly Cited Researcher, and an Elected Fellow of the Australia Academy for Health and Medical Sciences. She has also benefitted and learned from some very unsuccessful experiences, such as countless funding and paper rejections, trying to do it all and being terrible at saying no strategically. Kylie is passionate about supporting early- and mid-career researchers.

Dr Tseen Khoo is a Senior Lecturer in the Research Education and Development team, Graduate Research School, La Trobe University. She’s been a Senior Advisor (Research Grant Development) at RMIT University, and a research fellow at Monash University and the University of Queensland. She has written on research funding issues, early career researcher experiences, alternative academic streams, and racial diversity issues in Australia. With Jonathan O’Donnell, Tseen created and runs the research development and research culture blog, <a href="https://researchwhisperer.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Research Whisperer</a>.
