Humanitarians are observing with alarm as governments and major donors re-direct significant funds to combat the COVID-19 crisis, leaving many essential health programs unfunded. Join us as we examine the impact on communities with already fragile health systems, to find out how this funding shift is affecting health programs that mitigate health challenges such as HIV-AIDS, malaria, measles, tuberculosis and essential maternal and child health services.This is the second session of the  <a href="https://centreforhumanitarianleadership.org/the-centre/events/no-safe-space-crisis-response-in-covid-19/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">No Safe Space:  Crisis response in COVID-19</a>  four-part online forum series co-presented by the <a href="https://centreforhumanitarianleadership.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Centre for Humanitarian Leadership (CHL)</a>,  <a href="https://acfid.asn.au/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Australian Council for International Development (ACFID</a>) and  <a href="https://humanitarianadvisorygroup.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Humanitarian Advisory Group (HAG)</a>.Co-hosts:Dr Gary Jones - UNAIDS, Senior Advisor Dr Maria Guevara - MSF Geneva, Policy and advocacy advisorMr Sunia Soakai - Pacific Community (SPC), Deputy Director of HealthFacillitator: Sonia Brockington, Centre for Humanitarian Leadership, Course Director With a focus on  knowledge,  action, leadership  and  transformational change   the panel will examine key challenges for future public health programs, and consider leadership requirements and collaborative approaches to lessen the impact.  The panel discussion and Q&amp;A session will be an opportunity for the speakers to consider questions provided by participants. You can submit your questions to the speakers during your registration, and during the webinar itself. A one-page summary will be shared following the session, and a document outlining the policy and practice recommendations highlighted during webinars will be collated at the end of the four-month series. Your privacy is important to us. Please note that we will be recording the event. All participants will be de-identified in any shared content. We hope that you can join us to identify the challenges, opportunities, and successes, as we track the evolution of the humanitarian response to this unprecedented crisis.
