L&T workshop: Leadership and PD opportunities - Indigenising the Curriculum

Learning and Teaching - UC

Drawing on the staff expertise of our guest facilitators, we will explore Leadership and PD with an Indigenising the Curriculum lens.

This workshop will be held online on 29 October 2020 at 1:00pm in the L&amp;T Staff Development Workshop Space (Virtual Room) of the <a href="https://uclearn.canberra.edu.au/courses/96/external_tools/64" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SHED Online</a>. It will be facilitated by Marina Martiniello, our education designer with an Aboriginal &amp; Torres Straight Islander Specialisation, with support provided by Dr Stephanie Kizimchuk. During this session participants will draw upon pedagogic scholarship of Leadership and Professional Development to: <ul><li>Deepen their understanding of theories and principles of Leadership and Professional Development with an Indigenising the Curriculum lens; ​</li><li>And critically reflect on their own practi<a href="https://eric.ed.gov/?id=EJ1179626" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>ce in relation to these.</li></ul>All staff are welcome to attend and participate in components that meet their needs. The workshop has two components, a plenary session considering the topic and then two breakout options, ‘into practice’ where we explore how the topic might be implemented in the participants teaching practice or ‘shut up and write’ facilitating the reflective writing for your teaching portfolio, GCTE, HEA participants.
