Overview

Learn the basics of using DSLRs and other photography equipment.

Put yourself in the picture to learn the fundamentals of digital photography in this hands-on introduction to DSLR cameras. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of using a digital camera, along with the essential settings and equipment you need to capture high-quality photos. Using The Edge’s five Canon EOS 90D cameras, you’ll learn how to set up and operate, then take on practical, step-by-step guidance to get the best results from your shots.

This session is designed for beginners to get comfortable with key features like adjusting exposure, shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, as well as understanding how to work with different attachments and accessories. By the end of the workshop, you will have a solid understanding of the best settings for portrait and landscape photography.

Please note the workshop will focus on the Canon EOS 90D cameras provided by The Edge. We recommend using these cameras during the session, as we are unable to offer support for personal cameras brought from home. Participants will be sharing the Edge’s cameras in groups of two. This ensures all participants can receive the full benefit of the workshop with the equipment available.
