What will I learn in class?

You’ll learn the different ways to paint on fondant; how to use a cookie stamp; how to attach fondant to cookie and how to add details to your fondant cookies to give it a more professional look. You will also learn how to make your own dusting pouch.

What will I bring home?

By the end of the class, you will have created a set of gorgeous cookies ready to dry for 6-12 hours in their own box. You will also bring home the dusting pouch you made in class. And of course, you’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!

Question 3

What is included in the class?

All classes include a recipe booklet, instructions on how to make your own fondant pouch, all the tools and equipment you need on the day to create your cookie designs and a box to take your creations home.

Question 4

What do I need to bring?

Nothing but a smile! Everything will be provided for you including my (rather tasty) sugar cookies. All you need to do is join us and have fun! Messy decorator? You can bring your own apron or just wear easy-to-wash clothing.

Do I need to know how to bake?

Nope! No baking experience required. We will have the cookies pre-made for you along with the fondant icing already coloured. Have a little decorating experience under your belt? Come on too! I can help with questions on icing mixing and dough spread!

Question 6

Can I purchase an additional take-home kit?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-do the class. You can purchase an add-on kit during check-out. Your kit will be available at the end of your class. If you’re skipping class and just ordering the kit – swing by during class and pick up.

What age is best for cookie class?

Accepted Answer

This class is suitable for 8 years+ however children 8 to 14 years old will need an attending parent in the class (parent and child will share one set of cookies to decorate). If you think your child is too young to enjoy this class, purchase an additional take-home kit and teach your child at home!

Can just my child take the class?

Accepted Answer

We ask that all parents also attend the classes with their children under 15 years old. For children over 15 years old, you can drop off your child and return to pick-up in 2 hours. Due to space restrictions, we do not have room for parents to stand by and watch their children in class.

Question 9

Why do I have to pay extra if I am sharing a set of cookies?

The venue has maximum capacity. Each parent and child attendee takes up 2 spots. The parent + child price would normally be 2 full priced tickets.

Question 10

Can more than one child attend?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All children must be at least 8 years old. The cost is $50 for each additional child. You will get an extra set of cookies for each additional child to decorate.

Question 11

I don't have a child. Can I still attend?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! While the class is designed for a younger audience, beginner adults will also benefit from the skills taught in this class.

Question 12

Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?

Accepted Answer

You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 10 seats per class, so definitely sign up ASAP!

Where are the classes located?

This class will be held at The St Peters Town Hall, 39 Unwins Bridge Rd, Sydenham NSW 2044.

I signed up for a class but can't make it?

Accepted Answer

We understand that life happens so that’s why we allow you to cancel up to 7 days before the class. You can always transfer your spot to a friend though. Any cancellation after the 7 days will be a class credit redeemable for up to 12 months from the credit issue date.
