Microfilm Reading Room Appointments

Research visits to the Textual Research Rooms are by appointment only and are scheduled no further than three months in advance. New weekly appointment blocks open each Monday. The Archives 2 Textual Research Rooms are open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.Researchers are highly encouraged to conduct a virtual consultation before scheduling a research visits. Virtual consultations can be requested by contacting archives2reference@nara.gov. Please provide detailed information about your topic so that your request can be directed to the appropriate consultant.
