Best mates, Nic Marchesi and Lucas Patchett built a free mobile laundry in their old van to help the homeless. Orange Sky Laundry now has over 270 volunteers and are operating in every capital city in Australia. Nic and Lucas have found a way to treat others the way they want to be treated by restoring respect, raising health standards and reducing the strain on resources.
QUT Wellness Matters has been fortunate that Nic and lucas have accepted our invitation to come and tell us their story and to give us ideas about how to help others, to connect with our community and to grow in personal happiness and resilience through such rewarding interactions.
