Description

There is an open kitchen area for free tea & coffee - please bring snacks if you are going to be waiting. Many of our parents go to the park afterwards for lunch after the last group :)

It is never too early to learn the importance of first aid and with this in mind, St John Ambulance has developed a course specifically aimed at students from kindergarten to year two. Introducing the notion of first aid at an early age helps to equip children with the confidence and ability to help in an emergency.

Topics covered in the course include:

  • Looking for danger
  • Staying safe
  • Checking for response (talk and squeeze)
  • How to call for an ambulance
  • Recognising a paramedic

This training session will run for 60 minutes. Tea & coffee is available to parents in the kitchen. Please bring morning tea or snacks if you need.

Students will receive a St John take home bag containing a First Aid certificate of completion, giveaways and other helpful first aid resources and information.

All families in Western Australia who are home educating their children are welcome to join us at all our events, you do not have to be a member of Homeschool WA - however, on the odd occasion where places are limited, families that are registered to Homeschool WA will be given preference.
